Sampling Method:

With the bath agitation on full, take approximately 5000 milliliters and place into an appropriate container. Upon returning to the lab, mix or shake the sample vigorously for 5 minutes.

Titration:

  1. Take a 10 ml sample from the bottle.
  2. Add 50 ml of distilled water and 5-6 drops of phenolphthalein.
  3. Titrate with 1N H2SO4 to clear endpoint.

Calculation:
# mls x 3.6 = percent by volume CLEANER 24

Test Kits Available

  1. Take a 5 ml sample and 50-100 mls of water.
  2. Add 5-6 drops of phenolphthalein.
  3. Titrate dropwise with 12N Acid to clear endpoint.

Calculation:
Drops x 3.75 = percent by volume CLEANER 24.

:: Cleaner 26

Concentration Determination:

Immediately place 100 milliliters of the sample into a 100 milliliter graduated cylinder. Allow the sample to separate into 2 distinct layers (this could take
up to an hour possibly). Read the volume of the upper layer in milliliters.

Calculations:
No. of mls = percent by volume CLEANER 26

:: Storage

  1. Store in a cool, dry area
  2. The shelf life of this material is six months
  3. Stock rotation is recommended
  4. Protect from freezing

 :: PAINT STRIPPING

From aluminum and soft metal safe paint strippers to e-coat removing paint strippers. We can help you with every paint stripping operation.

POWER STRIP 200

Description:

POWER STRIP 200 is a liquid alkaline paint stripper designed for use in hot alkaline stripping systems. It is very effective on a wide variety of paints, and operates very well over a wide range of temperatures and concentrations. POWER STRIP 200 digests most paints, has a long life, and is very cost effective.

Since POWER STRIP 200 is highly alkaline, care must be used in handling it. Additions to hot tanks must be done slowly since heat is generated and boil over could occur. The use of safety goggles, impervious gloves, and protective clothing is recommended when handling this product. Following are the recommended operating parameters for POWER STRIP 200:

Concentration : 25-75% by volume
Temperature : 140-210 Degrees F.
Stripping time : 2-15 minutes
Agitation : Mild air or mechanical
Tank and heater construction : Steel or Stainless Steel

After stripping, parts should be rinsed well with water and dried. Careful, POWER STRIP 200 will attack aluminum parts.

CLEANER 24/CLEANER 26
Hot Alkaline Paint Stripping System ( Aluminum Safe )

Description:

The CLEANER 24/CLEANER 26 paint stripping system is a hot alkaline stripping system which has proven effective in stripping high solids coatings, power coatings, and most commercially used organic coating.

The CLEANER 24/CLEANER 26 paint stripping system is safe on ferrous metals, copper, zinc die cast, galvanized steel and aluminum alloys with the following exceptions: applications on hot dipped galvanized and 7XXX Series aluminum will be subject to restriction on concentration, temperature, and time. The CLEANER 24/CLEANER 26 paint stripping system will not harm the following plated surfaces: chrome, zinc, nickel, cadmium, tin and copper plating.

Note: A minimum of 18% CLEANER 24 should be maintained in the bath to protect the soft metal substrates and platings listed.
